DEBRA GINSBERG (Executive Producing Artistic Director) Originally from New York, Debra’s long acting career as a dedicated performer in numerous Community and professional theatrical productions combines with a career as a Director and Executive Producer. As former Artistic Director and Executive Producer for The Miami Acting Company she has recently completed a successful run of Chicago, (Coral Shores Theater of Performing Arts, Fl.) The Producers (The Murray E. Nelson Government and Cultural Center, Fl), Ocean Reef The Musical and the Ocean Reef Academy’s A Broadway Musical Review (both at the Ocean Reef Cultural Center Stage, Fl.). As former director for the Miami Stage Company’s production of Noises off and critically acclaimed CATS, she directed and produced a national first and triumphant community theater undertaking. Other directorial credits include The Ocean Reef Yacht Club's version of American Idol and Sacha in Concert (in which she also performed), The Odd Couple, An Evening To Remember (The Wilton Theater, CT) and several Miami productions of Who Killed The Director for which she received several awards. Her acting, singing, and dancing talents have also won her awards as Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for her roles "Miss Hannigan" in Annie and "Widow Corney" in Oliver. She has costarred in a Philip Michael Thomas and Sandi Morais production of Sacha (Hollywood Playhouse) and stepped-in as “Harriet The Horrible Owl” and “ The Mother” in Sacha on Broadway (Riverside Theatre, New York City.) Her numerous performing credits include “ Mona” in Chicago, " Grizabella / Electra / Griddlebone " in various productions of CATS throughout southern Florida, "Joanne" in Company (The Riviera Theater, Miami), the "Wicked Stepmother" in Cinderella (Actors Playhouse, Miami) as well as many other starring roles including Hello Dolly, Candide, Cabaret, Carousel, Lost in Yonkers, Blithe Spirit, Songs for a New World, Godspell, Some Enchanting Evening, and The Seven Year Itch. Although Debra has enjoyed a successful 28-year career on Wall Street she has never lost her love for the theater. On the non-theatrical side Debra Ginsberg a Vassar College Graduate with a B.A. in Psychology and Economics also attended the Wharton School of Business of Continuing Professional Education. She is a retired Wall Street executive and has lived the business for over 30 years beginning her career with Merrill Lynch and then moving on to Thomson McKinnon Securities and eventually becoming General Partner, Director and Head Trader with Gintel Asset management and Gintel and Company a no load mutual fund and Broker Dealer in Greenwich, CT. She also became the company’s compliance Official, Branch Manager and Senior Registered Options Principle, holding 6 licenses on the Street. In addition she was former President and Executive Director for ACTA (Actors for Charity Theatrical Alliance) in Miami, former Board Member of The Miami Children’s Theater, a very successful children’s theater group, former Chairman and Artistic / Executive Director of The Miami Acting Company, a very successful community adult theatrical troupe; Director of The Gintel Family Foundation, former member of the Advisory Committee to the Florida Keys Council of the Arts, Board Member of the Florida Keys Wild Bird Sanctuary, and Board Member of The Friends of the Key Largo Cultural Center and Chairman of its Event Program Committee. Debra has been awarded and recognized for her philanthropic endeavors by the University of Miami’s Scholarship Fund, Gulliver’s Cultural Arts Department and she is the recipient of a Special Commitment award for The Children’s Home Society of Miami and has been recognized for mentoring graduates from the University of Miami’s School of Business.
