The inaugural Islamorada Fishing Film Festival is a fundraiser for the United Way of the Florida Keys which funds 15 local non profits. The event aims to unite anglers, sport enthusiasts, water lovers and conservationists alike through an entertaining and amusing view of the fishing world. Through this event, the goal is to further the sport of fishing through education, awareness and conservation in Islamorada: “the Sport Fishing Capital of the world!” Proceeds benefit the United Way of the Florida Keys.
The event will feature the following films: Satori, Musky Country, Red Like Winter, Blue Water and Tarpon and will also host a contest for anglers to submit footage of their most memorable moments on the water (most unique fishing experience, most outrageous angling blooper, most embarrassing moment on a fishing excursion, best/biggest catch, etc.) The contest will be judged by local celebrity judges and the Master of Ceremonies for the event will be radio personality, Matt Bellenger, who hosts a fishing show for Clear Channel Radio and is also with Bamboo Charters. .
